HaLow Modules
This page documents the HaLow hardware modules used for experimentation, development, and deployment of 802.11ah networks.
HaLow modules provide the core RF transceiver and microcontroller functionality required to implement AP, STA, or relay modes. They can be used standalone or on evaluation boards for prototyping.
Module Categories
- Standard Modules โ Official HaLow modules with AT command firmware.
- Private Protocol Modules โ Modules supporting proprietary HaLow extensions (e.g., WNBAP/WNBSTA).
- Relay Modules โ AP+STA capable modules for multi-hop network deployment.
- Low-Power Modules โ Modules optimized for battery operation with sleep/hibernate support.
Key Features
- 900 MHz frequency operation
- AP/STA/AP+STA modes
- Relay and multi-hop support
- Configurable channel list, bandwidth, and transmit power
- Sleep, hibernate, and remote wake-up support

Notes
* Modules should be paired with compatible firmware to enable all features. * For network experimentation, evaluation boards are recommended to simplify wiring and power connections. * Refer to the AT command documentation for controlling module behavior, including networking, relay, and test mode features.
